Exhibition Statement

A New Year, a new collection of work by seventeen artists. We welcome in the New Year with our first exhibition of 2023 with gallery regulars Tim Ball, Gareth Buxton, Peter Clayton, Richard Devereux, Gill Edwards, Christine Evans, Emma Fitzpatrick, Val Hudson, Tracey Hollis Rowe, Sarah John, Serena Smith and Shirley Stevenson. We are also thrilled that Lesley Brooks, Nicola Durrant, Tori Tipton and Tamara Williams will be exhibiting with us for the first time.

 

With broadly differing studio practices, mediums and ideas, this will be a quintessential group show brought together with a desire to refresh the first, second and upstairs gallery spaces and give our visitors the opportunity to catch up with what these seventeen artists have been busy working on in their studios.

People say our exhibitions are very special. 

We find great artists , set-up in beautiful private venues and open with stylish, hot-ticket private views. Our exhibitions are slick, well managed , run by amazing, devoted volunteers and we sell lots of art. 

Art For Cure is now a registered national charity with a dynamic event team, a board of experienced trustees and over 150 volunteers. The money we raise is channelled into scrupulously vetted national research projects and to valuable, additional breast cancer services in Suffolk that work alongside our amazing NHS breast care teams.

I’m so happy to be opening my studio again. Dates and times listed above.  It’ll be great to see everyone, so I do hope you can visit.

I’ll have lots of paintings on plaster and wood, including a new series of semi-abstract landscapes which explore the deconstructed texture, shape and colour from places I’ve visited over the past few months. The weathered layers of paint and marks from old buildings have been particularly inspirational and have informed an exciting new direction for my work.

​

I'll also have my RubyKite art scarves and accessories on silk and cashmere available to buy. Lots of gorgeous gift ideas!

The LAKE gallery is an artist-led gallery situated in the heart of West Kirby on the beautiful Wirral peninsula. The gallery hosts a changing program of exhibitions of fine art and contemporary craft and I'm delighted to have a collection of 15 paintings alongside the work of talented artist Hilary Dron.

 

"Unearthed" is an exhibition of vibrant, expressive paintings, exploring the texture, colour and shape in the landscapes that I have visited.

Looking forward to our annual exhibition of contemporary paintings, ceramics, jewellery and mosaics at the glorious grade II listed Farnham Pottery. The Pottery is located in Wrecclesham near Farnham, Surrey and is one of the best preserved examples of a working Victorian country pottery left in England.

The cafe serves artisan roasted coffee, home baked cakes and light lunches.
