I paint intuitively, seeing more when I'm not focused on the detail which means I use a variety of media from acrylics to ink to oil pastels that capture the experience rather than the reality of my floral landscapes.
The Thames and South Downs are an especially strong influence, filled with their tangle of wild flowers and tapestry-like fields which I deconstruct into more abstracted layers of texture to create paintings that are more dreamscape than landscape.
