On the edge of the wood is part of my Meadow series of mixed media paintings on deep wood panels. Each piece explores the tangle of wild flowers and graphic shapes that I find in the fields that surround my studio by The Thames, which I deconstruct into abstracted layers of texture and mark-making. The colours change through each season and are inspirational in so many ways. The painting is set within a hand painted white wooden tray frame.
